Just a few pics taken from near the legendary stack from I-84 and I-291's planned intersection. There is a road just south of the interchange and just north of the end of CT 9 that has a bridge over the planned route 291. This first picture is looking south. To the right you can see Route 9 southbound. This roadbed would have served 291 northbound, probably through traffic.

This second picture is looking north - you can see the bridges in the distance. This lane would probably have been for 291 northbound - I believe you can see the very end of a merge lane in the lower center of the picture, just to the right of the main road.

This third picture is of the roadbed for 291 southbound traffic, looking north.
